Job Description


High-level design of internal IT systems and technical leadership for the Software Development team of local Healthcare shop

Your Day:
  • Makes high-level technical design choices for PathGroup software development initiatives and assists development team members with detailed design specifications
  • Works closely with management within the IT organization to establish and evolve policies and procedures related to software development and delivery
  • Ensures application software and databases are developed, enhanced and maintained according to established standards and specifications
  • Provides technical leadership to a group of software developers, database administrators, and software support personnel
  • Negotiates functional and technical requirements with department leads
  • Tracks software metrics for application improvement
  • Familiar with a wide variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Establishes technical baselines for development products
  • Familiar with and abides by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies
  • Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data
  • All other assigned duties


  • Bachelor's degree required in computer science or engineering field


  • At least ten years of experience in the field
  • Strong relational database knowledge and understanding of data warehousing
  • Extensive programming experience with Microsoft development tools
  • Healthcare/Health Insurance background helpful
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels and backgrounds of people as well as effectively present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public
  • Must be skilled at developing long-term plans and programs
  • Aptitude for applying and adapting practices and techniques to the special requirements of senior management
