Sr. Financial Systems Analyst

Job description

We are looking to add a Financial Systems Analyst to join our Accounting team, to help build and provide systems support for the business. Specifically, this position will be the day to day contact for the accounting and finance team as it looks to automate and scale the organization with systems resources. The person will be responsible for working within NetSuite as well as other acquired software billing and accounting software, as well as providing insightful analysis to our senior leadership team. These responsibilities will require a strong ability to work cross functionally with the various functional teams in the business. This position reports directly to the CFO and will interact with the VP of Technology Operations and their team.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in systems ideally with a SaaS business, or other relevant technology companies.

Key Job Requirements

  • Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
  • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  • Improves financial analysis by helping design and structure reports that monitor variances and trends
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data.
  • Maintains database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
  • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
  • Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Strong understanding of Accounting process workflows including Order to Cash and Procure to Pay
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and to prioritize assigned work responsibilities
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives


  • 3-5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • MBAs are preferred
  • Finance, Accounting, Economics or Statistics are preferred fields
  • Proven work experience in a quantitatively-heavy role
  • Experience with NetSuite and other ERP systems
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel

This Job is based out of the San Diego Corporate Office and cannot be worked remotely.
