Sr. Marketing Specialist

We have an open position for a Sr. Marketing Specialist in San Diego. This role is for a dynamic career oriented person that wants to join our fast growing and existing firm and become an important member of our team and business growth. The role is reporting to the VP, Business Development & Marketing.

Job Responsibilities:

Markets products by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns; tracking sales data; maintaining promotional materials inventory; planning meetings and trade shows; maintaining databases; preparing reports. Researches and analyses demographics, pricing schedules, market trends, competitor products, and other information relevant to the company's marketing objectives. Uses marketing expertise to help direct strategy and planning for promotional materials, sales tactics, and other department activities. Creates and develops new campaigns, advertising copy, and other marketing materials.

Job Duties:

  • Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.
  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
  • Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information; relaying customer services requests.
  • Plans and attends/supports meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
  • Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts of events, and marketing spends.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Researches and analyses a variety of marketing information, including market trends, pricing schedules, competitor offerings, product specifications, and demographic data.
  • Helps develop new marketing strategies and campaigns based on detailed analysis of market forces
  • Works with creative teams to come up with branding ideas, advertising copy, graphic designs, and promotional materials
  • Identifies the appropriate media channels where each product or service's marketing materials can be delivered to the public
  • Enforces brand marketing guidelines throughout each product to create a cohesive feel to each campaign
  • Acts as a go-to resource for up-to-date, accurate research and market information
  • Tracks marketing strategy results closely and creates detailed reports with data analysis and other feedback
  • Adjusts marketing plans as needed in response to data tracking efforts
  • Reports findings and results to upper management and executives.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a marketing role; specifically
  • Knowledge of direct marketing, Market Segmentation, Marketing Research, Coordination, and Project Management
  • Reporting Research Results,
  • Takes initiative, can work well independently, and a self-starter
  • Must be Creative, innovative, and adaptable
  • Knowledge of Media Channels and Marketing Strategy
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized and on task with changing priorities
