Sr. Microsoft Cyber Security Solutions Architect

Location: OC Area & Remote


The Sr. Microsoft Cyber Security Solutions Architect (MCSSA) should be able to understand client's business initiatives and requirements and map these business needs into technical and security architectures. An MCSSA should be able to present and explain the portfolio of Microsoft cyber security solutions to clients, guide them through requirements gathering as well as architect and deliver a solution.

May perform any or all of the following duties:

▪ Meet with clients to research and understand requirements for solutions centered around Microsoft security technologies
▪ Develop statement of work (SoW) with task lists and estimated level of effort (LOE) for various types of projects in support of these solutions
▪ Design, build and deliver the optimal technical solution to address the client requirements
▪ Audit client environments and deliver security recommendations
▪ Lead incident response efforts in response to client breaches
▪ Assist the sales team in identifying and qualifying opportunities with new and existing clients
▪ Collaborate with Professional Services team on developing deployment models
▪ Build high level of customer relationships that are trusted and respected
▪ Continuously update the skills and knowledge to keep up with the changing landscape and customer needs
▪ Other duties as assigned


▪ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
▪ 7+ years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to Information Technology systems
▪ Solid knowledge of security standards and compliance like PCI, HIPAA, Sarbanes Oxley, ISO 27001, NIST, CSF, COBIT, ITIL, SANS 20
▪ Strong understanding and knowledge of risk assessment, risk procedures, security assessment, vulnerability management, penetration testing
▪ Leading industry certifications like, CISSP (strongly desired), CCIE-Security, CISA, CISM, CEH, CHP, PCI-QSA are highly preferred
▪ Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and its security concerns
▪ Comfort leading CIO/CTO level presentations, solution demonstrations and whiteboard sessions
▪ Ability to work cooperatively with sales, services and the PMO team
▪ Demonstrated passion for technology, solution design and self-study
▪ Previous experience working in collaborative team environments
▪ Excellent verbal and written communication, organization skills and detail oriented
▪ Excellent presentation skills
▪ Experience working for a systems integrator is preferred
