Job Description

The Network Engineer II would be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and stable operation of the in-house Server, Telephony, security infrastructure, and computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing on premise and hosted network enterprise solutions. In addition, the Network Engineer II will analyze and resolve network hardware and application software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.

This individual will work closely with team members to troubleshoot and optimize our systems and networks, as well as system and network administration when needed. Network administration responsibilities encompasses the numerous Windows servers, VM infrastructure, VOIP system, network security solutions, and all software from the servers to the desktops.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

* Meet with the Technology Director and other members of the IT team to discuss planning and execution of new systems or additional technical support.

* Maintain operational configurations of all in-place security solutions as per the established baselines

* Responsible for maintaining life cycle management and capacity planning related to hardware and software infrastructure

* Create and maintain documentation as it relates to application configuration, network diagrams, and processes

* Participate in the planning and execution of Enterprise, Operational, and IT projects that embraces strategic initiatives

* Assist with evaluating new and possible cloud vendors on application and security features and provide recommendations to the Bank's ISO on those that meet organizational security standards and policies

* Install, configure, initiate, and support Microsoft Exchange servers, software, and any required equipment

* Support VoIP infrastructure and its associated software, including IP-PBXs, call management systems, switches, voice mail, and interactive voice response

* Provide Level II and Level III support for Technical Support or Network issues as necessary including ticket assignments and resolutions

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience

* Flexibility and availability to work "after normal hours" and some weekends when required

* Experience and/or formal training supporting Microsoft Server OS, AD, and Linux

* Experience with HP Switching configuration and troubleshooting

* Experience with Mitel VOIP phone system

* Working technical knowledge of in-house Exchange 2016

* Familiarity with Data Center operations and current server and network hardware

* Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills

* Proven ability to work collaboratively with IT and business staff from other disciplines

Preferred Qualification

* Experience working in a financial services organization (Bank or Credit Union)

* VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

Additional Requirements

* Proven experience with Dell EMC VxRail, vSAN, and VMware

* Experience with Check Point's security solutions including IPS/IDS, APP/URL, and Endpoint Solutions

* Extensive Experience with Windows 2012, 2016, Windows 7, and Windows 10

* Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016, including common database administrative tasks
