Job Description

Responsible for providing strategic creative marketing communications support and guidance for the company's marketing and fundraising efforts. Serves as integral partner to fundraising groups. Manages the implementation of marketing strategy and development of internal and external collateral, including print materials and digital assets, video productions and interactive media elements to support fundraising programs managed by the departments. Supports Marketing management in the development of strategies to increase awareness of the company in an effort to educate and enhance the public image.

  • Manages marketing communications and creative projects for departments as assigned. Involves projects on a national level and/or key markets or regions.

  • Works with a high degree of autonomy to manage the conception and design of all creative projects for fundraising programs in assigned areas. Negotiates with key individuals in departments to develop strategic approach to new and existing programs and to evaluate needed creative materials for print and Web. Coordinates with the Graphic Design, Public Relations, Video Production and iMedia teams to develop materials and ensure delivery by agreed upon deadline. Understands and implements the company's branding guidelines and ensures key messages are incorporated. Requires use of a personal computer.

  • Uses a high degree of autonomy to work out logistics of event related marketing needs with the Event and Patient Liaison team members assigned to jobs in order to ensure proper scheduling and logistics. For external crews, manages all pre- and post-event requirements including scheduling briefing meetings or calls prior to the event.

  • Leads all marketing communication efforts for partner departments or as assigned by Manager based on needs. Recommends creative strategies in support of marketing strategies and partner goals.

  • Works with Public Relations team to manage media and communications aspects of media events at or at off-campus events. Includes evaluating shoot needs, preparing shot lists; ensuring proper shooting guidelines are shared with and followed by media visitors, and escorting media, video or photography crews at events at or events involving patient families.

  • Works effectively and professionally in a team environment, negotiates priorities and timeliness diplomatically, and maintains composure and production quality under deadline pressure. Recommends, initiates work and follows through on projects with minimal direction and/or in ambiguous situations.

  • Serves as communications counsel to marketing partners on an as needed basis or as assigned by Marketing management. Provides advice on communications-related matters, edits proposals, conducts informal research and serves on "brainstorming groups." This includes devising strategic communications plans for national fundraising events and coordinating this activity with relevant fundraising departments.

  • Works with Marketing management to analyze marketing communications efforts and to assist with evaluation of return on investment (ROI).

  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with partner departments by anticipating day-to-day needs of partners and providing timely support; understands partners strategic initiatives and provides innovative solutions and strategies; actively seeks solutions to address process or creative production challenges.

  • Provides clear guidance to creative teams within the Marketing department in support of partners creative marketing needs. Leads in managing production process by initiating creative planning meetings, ensuring jobs are opened promptly in the trafficking system, and obtaining proper approvals throughout the production process of the job. Serves as the liaison between the partners and creative teams and communicates regularly with both parties throughout creative production process.

  • Assists marketing team members with projects, duties as assigned by Marketing management team

Requirements

  • Requires thorough knowledge of marketing/advertising and/or communications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Advertising or related Communications field with at least 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
