Job Description

Vaco Atlanta is recruiting for a Bilingual (Spanish) Staff Accountant in Roswell, GA for a growing software company with subsidiaries in South America for which this accountant will be the primary liaison. We are looking for a staff accountant with at least one year or more of experience that's bilingual English / Spanish (internships will count as one year)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly general and standard journal entries, income statements, account reconciliations, cost reports and various other accounting statements and reports; provide interpretation of results as appropriate.
  • Review overhead department monthly financials.
  • Research and resolve problems pertaining to financial reporting systems, ensuring compliance with United States generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Provide month-end journal entries for national accounts, capital expense requests, bank reconciliations, leases, prepaid activity, and annual and interim physical inventory coordination.
  • Support the Corporate Accounting Manager with insurance accounting tasks.
  • Carefully monitor amortization activity throughout given service periods, and inquire as to when new amortization periods are to start.
  • Understanding of transactions in a multi-company environment.
  • Maintain good working relationships peers, financial and executive management.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. in accounting or finance.
  • One (1) or more years of corporate or public accounting experience.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and as an individual contributor.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple fast-paced projects.
  • Ability to think outside the box and determine solutions to complex situations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and willingness to work extended hours to ensure the deadlines are met.
  • Strong interpersonal relations and communication skills.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
