Job Description

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations and management reporting as necessary. Support general financial needs of the organization by working collaboratively with various departments to provide information.

Responsibilities

    • Perform daily accounting and reporting activities regarding general ledger maintenance
    • Perform analyses and prepare accounting entries related to numerous areas (prepaid items, accruals, payroll, etc.)
    • Perform monthly account reconciliations
    • Assist in the monthly and yearly closing process
    • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of transactions
    • Support external quarterly reviews and annual external audits
    • Facilitate collection of data requests in support of completion of annual tax return

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and problem solving ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Expert skills with Microsoft Office (Excel formulas and pivot tables a plus)
  • Ability to query and organize from multiple sources and platforms
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP and/or Oracle preferred)
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or cost accounting preferred
