Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Business Lead to help us expand our Category Management consulting operations in Northwest Arkansas. A strong background in requirements gathering, RFI/RFP responses, software demonstrations, POCs and presentations to business and technical teams is critical.


*Act as an industry expert with the ability to exhibit deep domain knowledge in Category Management to guide clients toward improved processes to drive profit, enhance resource effectiveness, and improve overall process efficiency.

*Use expert facilitation skills to lead clients to solutions and opportunities in the areas of business process, resource use and technology.

*Stay ahead of current industry best practices and operate as a thought leader in Space Management processes.

*Assist in driving major software and services sales by demonstrating the value of the proposed solutions and proposing a recommended roadmap to lead companies to greater success.

*Maintain close working relationship with sales, management, consulting, customer support and product management relating to securing and presenting appropriate proposal information to prospective clients and existing clients.

*Assists in planning efforts including detailed project plan task detail (work breakdown structure) based on the specific phase/need of the project

*Recognizes and highlights incremental revenue opportunities with existing customers / projects.

*Understands how Category Management solutions can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes

*Other duties as may be appropriate and applicable.


  • 5+ years hands-on experience as a Business Consultant with a demonstrated understanding of JDA's Category Management suite (Intactix)
  • Strong business acumen, with an understanding of using technology to solve business issues.
  • Skilled in preparing and delivering presentations for both end user and executive-level audiences.
  • Proven experience with surfacing business requirements, establishing future business processes and comprehensively communicating agreed direction within design documentation
  • Current or prior experience working in a consulting organization or retail technology firm preferred
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a larger project team
  • Develop strong relationships with Vaco customers and technology partners
  • Willingness to Travel (up to 50%)

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
