Vaco Tampa is hiring for a client in Clearwater, FL!
All work must be completed on-site. At this time this is a consulting opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:

Driving Business Value:
- Enable, empower, and mentor the teams to improve the processes, people, and tools that both accelerate our development lifecycle but also not compromise on product quality.
- Work with DevOps engineers and stakeholders including software engineering, to drive solutions
- Deploying and automating applications in a cloud environment using Azure DevOps, Chef, Jenkins, etc.
- Collaborate with key partners in development and product teams to convey infrastructure requirements, plan and schedule the deployment of tasks, and resolve any issues that impact the implementation of the Application delivery systems.

Support the Strategic deliverables:
- Lead and Collaborate with development team members to define and drive solutions and track deadlines.
- Design/Implementation of network and presentation.
- Guide teams with DevOps methodologies, including improving scalability, performance, reliability, and speed to market.
- The role will include systems and solution design within the existing architecture, as well as design/implementation of improvements to meet business needs.
- Lead DevOps Sprint Standups, Grooming, Planning, and Retrospectives to drive team velocity and leverage a "Kaizen" process
- Deliver a "DevOps as a Service" organizational model
? Implement standardized API's for our DevOps tools and capabilities
? Enable Self-Service onboarding for Development tools

Required Skillsets:

- 3+ years of experience managing a dev ops team of 5 or more engineers
- Demonstrated experience in managing service delivery, systems reliability and scalability, including reporting, configuration and build, testing, planning, and deployment of solutions
- Collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills a must
- Proven as a Technologist who has a history of driving new technology's and methods
- Experience in all phases of software development life cycles
- Excellent decision-making skills and initiative in solving problems
- Ability to lead a team of highly skilled individuals, to set priorities and solve problems

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet in production environments with many nodes, and understanding of Linux Platform
- Experience deploying to and orchestrating containers in production environments (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Experience with Restful services, service-oriented architecture, distributed systems cloud system (Azure/AWS) and micro-services
- Experience with distributed streaming platforms such as Kafka, Spark, Hadoop or similar open-source frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-based architecture (e.g., Microsoft Azure/AWS)
- Experience maintaining multiple products using CI Servers (Jenkins, TFS, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- experience building a suite of monitoring services with engineering (Service and application level)
- Knowledgeable about security and networking
- Strong mission to put pro-active solutions in place to prevent future problems, and automate processes so that engineers can self-service their operational requirements
