Job Description

Supply Chain BA

This position supports the business users of our Order Management, Shipping, 3PL System, Inventory Management & Pricing. Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) & Oracle Cloud Application software is the primary software used by these operations.

This analyst will specialize in Supply Chain processes and work closely with key Oracle users from all business units, and with developers and database administrators on technical issues. The analyst's highest-level goals are to help the business use our applications effectively and efficiently. We are currently looking for an analyst with experience focused in the following Business Processes and Oracle Modules: Inventory, Shipping, Order Management & Pricing and basic knowledge in PL/SQL.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates business processes, anticipates requirements, uncovers areas for improvement, and implements solutions.
  • Responds to questions/issues raised by business users regarding software & business functions.
  • Leads ongoing reviews of business processes and develops optimization strategies utilizing Oracle or other system functionality.
  • Writes and/or maintains end-user documentation.
  • Maintains module configurations to tailor software functions.
  • Develops test plans, performs & documents system testing of standard software & custom enhancements.
  • Produces "ad-hoc" reports over Oracle or other business systems data.
  • Attends Oracle conferences, user-group meetings as deemed appropriate by manager.
  • Serves as liaison between business users and technical resources (developers / database administrators).
  • Follows all current department policies, especially regarding the use of workload management tools (e.g. work order and project documentation, time-tracking).
  • Performs requirements analysis.
  • Ensures solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Trains users on software functionality.
  • Initiates Oracle SR's (service requests), and monitors to satisfactory resolution.
  • Continually researches and understands new Oracle or other system functionality.

Required background:

  • Strong experience with Oracle EBS Shipping, 3PL Systems, Oracle Order Management, Pricing & Oracle Inventory.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of Oracle's Support web site for researching all types of Oracle documentation
    PL/SQL knowledge.
  • Competence in querying supply chain data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, requirements gathering and solution designing.
  • Strong experience with Oracle customizations and the solution lifecycle for complex implementations.
  • Track record of following through on commitments.
  • General understanding of ADS's business model, current strategic and tactical plans, and operations.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience in testing custom applications and Oracle patches/updates.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years supporting Oracle EBS version 12.2
  • Primary Oracle Module Experience: Inventory, Order Management,3PL, Shipping & Pricing
  • At least 1 Oracle EBS upgrade experience
  • Experience analyzing business improvement
  • Five years of experience in business process analysis for Supply Chain functions
  • Experience on full cycle Oracle implementations
  • Experience supporting an S&OP process
  • Secondary Oracle Module Experience: Receivables, Territory Management

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's or associates degree with preferred major in Business or Information Technology
