Job Description

The Project and Application Manager, Supply Chain Planning Software Solution will own project planning, implementation, and management, of a new Supply Chain planning software solution. The role will be a combination of Project Manager (before and during implementation) and Application Manager (post implementation).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Project Management Functions:

  • Accountable for developing and documenting project scope, timelines, and cost projections
  • Creates and proactively maintains detailed project plans and budgets for the Supply Chain planning software
  • Identifies resources, data, and decisions required to ensure successful project implementation
  • Identifies critical path constraints; Assesses and mitigates risk through careful planning
  • Performs software testing throughout the process; coordinates roll-out planning
  • Carefully plans for and coordinates change management process and training for all system users
  • Deliversgo-live recommendation when all critical project tasks are completed
  • Application Management Functions:
  • After go-live, drives expeditious resolution of application and user issues Provides ongoing coaching and training of the application for end users
  • Develops effective reporting and analytics; schedules reports and creates dashboards as needed
  • Ensures system optimization and identifies value-add opportunities
  • Develops Service Level Agreements (SLA) with vendors, ensures appropriate service standards, and manages interactions with software supplier and internal users to ensure optimal value
  • Manages and delivers key projects and initiatives within agreed upon budgets

Additional Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management and/or in an IT department supporting supply chains
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
  • Supply chain skills focused on planning processes and systems (demand planning, distribution, replenishment planning, hub and spoke, inventory target setting, etc.)
  • Understanding of Blue Ridge or equivalent supply chain software (Oracle, JDA, Logility…..) with experience either as a supply chain analyst, manager, application manager or architect working with these systems
  • Strong leadership, managerial, analytical, and technical skills
  • Desire to build supply chain expertise and technical skills to deliver breakthrough planning applications and capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as ability to execute complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within and across geographic and organizational boundaries
  • Passion for working with people and data to deliver meaningful analytics
  • Ability to quickly create rapport with internal customers and service providers
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace, time-sensitive team environment
