Job Description

The Supply Planning and Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the creation of a constrained supply plan that is based on consensus demand plan and Rough Cut Capacity analysis for its product family. The Supply Planning and Inventory Control Manager is responsible for the inventory strategy, understanding constraints and makes productive decisions that deliver an optimum solution for customer service and business parameters. This role will manage all supply planning and inventory metrics for the business. The Supply Planning and Inventory Control Manager will give day-to-day direction to Global Supply Planners.

The Supply Planning and Inventory Control Manager implements and manages the direction for the supply chain as it relates to inventory and service levels. Ensures the supply planners are establishing the correct inventory levels for each primary stocking location for its product family. This role is integral to assigning allocations during a short supply situation. This role also orchestrates the content and execution of company Supply Reviews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plans global supply based on demand forecast inputs & available inventory i
  • Ensures supply planning associates are creating Supply plans for Site Schedulers on a monthly basis
  • Owns allocation decisions - coordinates with Sales
  • Coordinates Service Management
  • Responsible for managing Supply plans for full planning horizon.
  • Will lead Supply reconciliation meetings within SIOP process.
  • Must understand all trade-offs when orchestrating Supply plans and inventory discussions.
  • Defining the Plan-For-Every-Part: what items are make-to-stock (MTS) vs. make-to-order (MTO) vs. make-to-forecast (MTF) and where are they stored
  • Development of statistical safety stocks and an organization-wide change management strategy for this.
  • Will be a key member of SIOP team therefore, will break down monthly SIOP demand plan and enable inventory distribution throughout the network.
  • Development and simulation of prebuild logic based on history and customer forecasts
  • Identification and management of slow-moving and obsolete goods (SMOG) and excess out of the supply chain.

Experience and Skills Required:
  • Minimum 7 years working in supply chain management for an international manufacturing company
  • Expert in business analytics. Can analyze data and identify areas for improvement while providing coaching and support to others in assigned area
  • Leads process excellence and continuous improvement efforts through the use of Lean and Six Sigma tools with no supervision
  • Effectively negotiates and communicates cross-functionally across the organization, coordinating with various functions to exceed objectives
  • Demonstrates excellent ability to react and resolve disruptions in Supply Chain and keep customer focused perspective
  • Completes work with no supervision.

Education and Certifications:
  • Requires bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, Mathematics or technical discipline
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in supply chain management
  • Highly proficient in Excel, BI and other analytical tools required
  • APICS Certification or related Supply Chain certifications highly desired,
