Job Description

Location: Atlanta Metro Area
Schedule: 5 days a week on site, 40 hours

While on-site, candidate system admin performs a variety of end-user support based tasks. These tasks range from, working directly with the end user to answer any questions they may have regarding macOS, software and hardware troubleshooting, ensuring that new devices are properly configured and ready to be delivered to the users. The following are most of the tasks:

* macOS software and hardware troubleshooting with/for end-user, some with end-user, others remotely (via phone call)
* AirWatch 9.x related tasks (push profiles, verify user device assignment, ensure expected agent is functioning, provisioning devices, etc …)
* QA new devices before end user delivery
* Generate documentation where necessary and at direction from Client IT support group
* Testing: AirWatch configuration profiles, macOS software and hardware and report findings
* Research macOS hardware & software related issues, e.g. investigate reported macOS or 3rdparty software issue(s) with end-user, collaborate findings (written and oral) with Client Endpoint engineering team
* Work with other IT Groups within Client for issue resolution, e.g. security, shared storage, networking
* Ship macOS devices offsite for hardware repair

A daily routine at Client consists on getting onsite around 7:30 - 8:00 am, check email and support tickets from the previous day. Check in with end users. Work on outstanding tasks. If needed, work with client engineering to resolve issues related to AirWatch configuration profiles and scripts. Communicate findings back to relevant Client engineering groups.
Candidate for this role

Skills/Qualities
* 2-3 years' experience working with macOS in an enterprise environment or similar.
* Very good communications skills for assisting end-users via phone, email, support tickets, in person, remote etc.
* Perform basic software and hardware troubleshooting tasks relating to macOS
* Familiar with Unix command line interface on macOS platform
* Familiar with scripting, e.g. BASH, csh, tcsh, etc.
* "People Person" - the "Apple Genius Experience"
* Service mind set, Self motivated
* Problem solving skills
* Familiarity with AirWatch MDM (device profiles, packages, configuration, …)
* 2 year college degree required, 4 year college degree highly desired
* Apple Certified Associate (Mac Integrations Basics), 10.13 desired
Highly Desired qualifications
* ACSP (Apple Certified Support Professional), 10.13 desired
* Familiar with the macOS application packaging
* Familiar, demonstrated experience with other scripting languages, e.g. Python, Ruby on Rails
* Familiar with Apple Enterprise Connect or Moab (MS Active directory security connectivity techniques)
