The qualified Systems Administrator will be part of a team environment and will be responsible to administer the server and storage infrastructure, including CISCO UCS, VMware virtual infrastructure, Horizon View VDI, Nimble and Active Directory services. The following are a few of the duties and responsibilities of this position:

  • Administer and support Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware technologies
  • Configure and manage the storage environment including replication/recovery
  • Manage and configure VMWare Horizon View VDI environment
  • Design and implement procedures for monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security standards and requirements
  • Conduct Disaster Recovery planning and testing
  • Assist with hardware and software evaluations, recommendations and negotiations
  • Manage data backup operations and follow procedures to ensure that all data backups are successful, secure, and recoverable
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
  • Provide after-hours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance
  • Provide end-user support and training as needed


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline - or proven equivalent professional experience as Systems Administrator
  • At least 3-5 years of Systems Administrator experience
  • Specific detailed knowledgeAdvanced knowledge of Windows Servers (2008/2012 /2016) and desktop Operating Systems
  • Proficient in managing server virtualization technology (VMware)
  • Advance knowledge of Active Directory Users and Groups, including GPO administration
  • Basic knowledge of networking and management of network devices like switches, routers and firewalls a plus
  • Strong knowledge of security standards and implementation of security procedures to maintain compliance with security requirements
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated individual that can work independently on a variety of simultaneous projects
  • Flexible approach to working hours, occasional after hours/weekend work required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to document new processes and procedures.
