Sr. Systems Administrator
Stamford, CT

Our client is a fast-growing residential real estate company in Stamford, CT. They are looking for a Systems Administrator who can move into a CTO role in the near future. You will be the primary POC for all IT within the company and work with 3rd party vendors to oversee all IT Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as the primary relationship manager to the company's external IT vendors
  • Primary administrative support for multiple office locations for hardware and software break/fix issues
  • Help the company develop and implement a disaster recovery plan and periodically test the viability of the plan
  • Assist with network and sever administration as required
  • Lead and mentor future IT team members
  • Support 3rd party software applications
  • Track all hardware, software, and license information
  • Assist in the development of the corporate technology budget
  • Be the "go to" person on all applications with an understanding of how they are linked and work together

  • Ability to handle stress, expectations, and workload demands consistent with a manager level position
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, multi-task, meet deadlines, and have flexibility to accommodate special projects as they arise
  • Demonstrated organization skills; the ability to work as a member of a fast-paced team and to balance multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Must exercise sound judgment, initiative and independent thinking
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues-including previous experience in role maintaining confidentiality
  • Proficiency and comfort with information systems. Proven ability to master new software systems

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Will grow with company and eventually move into the CTO role

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in a technology related filed required
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years' progressive work experience in system administration preferred
  • Management or Lead experience preferred
  • Prior experience with real estate technologies preferred but not required
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience with SQL Databases
  • Prior experience migrating systems to Juniper Square is a plus but no required
  • Experience with Qlik software or other Data Visual BI Tools
  • Understand SDLC and how applications work together

Other Systems Administration Duties as required and may include:

  • Administer Windows-based network, Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange
  • Manage Exchange email distribution groups and shared mailboxes
  • Administer user accounts and permissions for RIS and RRS proprietary systems
  • Install, manage & maintain IT Infrastructure (LAN, WAN, SAN, VPN, Switches, SonicWALL Firewalls, WAP)
  • Install & Manage physical and virtual Server environment (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Manage Server/Network Rack devices and infrastructure (UPS, PDU, KVM)
