JOB SUMMARY

Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Systems Support Technician for a 6M C2H opportunity located in Northlake, TX. The Systems Support Technician will provide phone / email support to internal end-users utilizing applications, systems, and hardware. The Systems Support Technician will assist users in resolving software, computer, and device issues via diagnosis and communication with end-users. The Systems Support Technician will identify issues, research, isolate, and resolve the issues in a timely fashion. The Systems Support Technician will support the day-to-day on-going business operations as they interact with IT systems and provide the highest level of customer service / support when resolving IT-related issues.

  • Assess End-User Business Needs / Issues - Use Online Tools / Analytical Thinking to Diagnose / Resolve Issues
  • Accurately Log Call Information into the Call Tracking System
  • Retain Ownership of the Calls / Follow-Up Frequently with End-Users on Updates / Resolutions, etc.
  • Day-to-Day Support of Windows 7-10 / Office 2016 / Browsers / WiFi / LAN TCP/IP / Remote Access / VPN / File Shares / Dell, HP, and IBM Desktops and Notebooks / Ricoh and HP Printers / Office 365, etc.
  • Use WDS (Windows Deployment Services) / Imaging Tools - Build / Deploy Computers / Laptops
  • Perform Hardware Upgrades / Replacements, etc.
  • Utilize Windows 7-10 System and Command Line Tools / Event Logs / Registry / Performance Monitoring Tools
  • Contribute to the Department Technical Resources Library
  • Provide Support on Mobile Devices - Samsung / Smart Phones, etc.
  • Utilize Ticketing System to Receive / Resolve End-User Requests - Document Statuses / Resolutions, etc.
  • Assist in Active Directory Administration Functions - User Accounts / Password Updates, etc.
  • Participate in On-Call Rotation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Helpdesk / Deskside Support (2+ years) - Software / Hardware Support
  • Windows 7-10 Support / Office 2016 / Office 365 Support
  • LAN / TCP/IP / Remote Access / VPN / File Share Support
  • Dell / HP / IBM Desktop / Notebook Support
  • Imaging Tools / WDS (Windows Deployment Services) - Build / Deploy Computers / Laptops
  • Mobile Device Support - Samsung / Smart Phones, etc.
  • Active Directory Administration (basic-level) Support - User Accounts / Password Updates, etc.

PREFERRED (not required)

  • ITIL Foundations in Service Management
  • CSR (HDI Customer Support Representative) and/or SCA (HDI Support Center Analyst)
  • DTS (Desktop Support Technician) and/or MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician)
