About this position:

Vaco Birmingham has an immediate opportunity available for a motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join a large Birmingham company. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record sourcing and placing candidates multi-state. The TA Specialist will have experience with resume screening and interviewing to ensure candidate's credentials, matching job requirements, onboarding, and building and maintaining referrals. This position requires strong negotiating and communication skills, a person who is highly motivated, and a self-starter with a high sense of urgency and strong desire to be the best.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of logistics recruiting experience
• Broad use and/or understanding of search techniques using social media
• Partner with leadership to design and deliver effective recruiting strategies and use best practices to source, attract, screen, recruit, select, negotiate with and close quality candidates for key positions
• Source candidates via cold calling, networking, and the Internet, searches as well as other creative methods for attracting high performers
• Analyze resources and recommend changes
• Skilled at developing and implementing creative recruiting solutions including strategic and tactical sourcing plans
• Ability to understand and articulate a hiring leader's resource requirements, culture and other compatibility issues that are critical to making a successful hire
• Proven ability to develop and maintain candidate relationships across multiple types of positions and industries
• Thorough knowledge of the entire recruiting life cycle coupled with high candidate presentation to offer acceptance ratios
