Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance

    • Prepare required schedules in arriving at Partnership and subsidiary taxable income
    • Calculate various book-to-tax differences; document certain positions taken on those tax returns.
    • Maintain required documentation to be used under audit
    • Prepare partner K-1's with appropriate allocations and guaranteed payment activity; prepare and assist in the preparation of partnership state composite tax returns
    • Prepare and assist in the preparation and documentation of state tax returns and associated workpaper preparation (apportionment, etc.)
    • Other detail data collection and maintenance, as necessary

Tax Accounting

    • Collect and maintain global withholding-at-source detail for client engagements that are located in a jurisdiction where the Firm does not currently have a permanent establishment
    • Collect, maintain and deliver tax accounting detail to statutory accountants, under the direction of the Senior Tax Manager and with collaboration of the Accounting function
    • Collect and maintain detail to assist with quarterly and annual tax accounting and tax compliance, as necessary
    • Prepare and maintain annual FIN 48 reserves and tables
    • Collect and maintain detail as required to assist in the disposition of tax audits, as determined by the Tax Department Management
    • Assist with account activity reconciliations related to tax items/issues
    • Reconcile and maintain VAT accounts monthly as part of the closing process.
    • Additional indirect tax compliance, as required.
    • Other detail data collection and maintenance, as necessary


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related; CPA desirable
  • Two years' work experience within the accounting or tax department of a corporation or public accounting firm highly preferred
  • Experience with automated general ledger systems (such as Elite)
  • Experience with intercompany transactions and transfer pricing charge-out mechanisms
  • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to interact with departmental personnel and Management
  • Demonstrated ability to handle detail spreadsheet data under direct supervision of departmental management
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work full time in a fast-paced office environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the work day
