Our client, located near West Windsor, NJ is adding a Tax Director to the team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for managing a smaller tax team and developing multiple senior and staff level tax accountants.
  • Conducts research to establish Company compliance with applicable tax laws and suggest alternate approaches to lessen tax liabilities.
  • Identifying areas of improvement including system improvements and upgrades as well as defining the structure of the tax department
  • Prepares relevant account reconciliations ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404
  • Authorize payment of taxes due. Organize and supervise the federal, international and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support
  • Calculation of the Company's tax provision and related quarterly and annual disclosures.
  • Organizes and supervises the preparation and prosecution of ruling requests, refund claims, protests and administrative appeals relating to tax matters.
  • Provide tax counsel and review proposed transactions, including acquisitions and mergers and works closely with Senior Management regarding impact of new and proposed laws, decisions, regulations and rulings in taxes and other related areas.
  • Represent the organization on tax matters when dealing with various federal, state and foreign legislative and administrative authorities.
  • Authorize payment of taxes due. Organize and supervise the federal, international and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support
  • Work with outside professional firms in tax matters, and determine their efforts and their extent of use.
  • Conducts research to establish Company compliance with applicable tax laws and suggest alternate approaches to lessen tax liabilities.


Minimum Requirements:

  • CPA preferred
  • MBA/MS or LLM in Taxation preferred
  • Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience preferred
  • Prior experience managing a team
  • Global company experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
