Job Description


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advanced specialized tax expertise
  • Reviews research findings, tax returns and work papers, formulates conclusions consistent with firm policies and professional standards, and determines implications and best course of action for client
  • Ensures all tax advice is technically correct and properly documented
  • Understands the firm's policies, procedures and professional standards
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills
  • Client Service Excellence -
    • Listen to clients, anticipate their needs, adapts to client priorities/agenda and plans accordingly
    • Lead engagement, managing the business relationship with a focus on high quality tax service and seeks to provide additional or value added services to the client
    • Recognize client issues and risk tolerance
    • Awareness of firm's industry service group and hope to scope services to the client
  • Business Growth -
    • Understands what is important to the client and how to maximize the relationship
    • Develops relationships to generate new business
    • Holds a position of leadership in a community, business or professional organization with emphasis of development of strong external network
    • Builds and leverages strong internal/external networks
    • Active involvement in industry service group efforts
  • People Management/Process -
    • Dedicates time to coaching and developing others through training, providing opportunities for them and helps them succeed
    • Actively communicates the client's needs and facts to the appropriate team members to execute the work
    • Builds relationships across industry service groups to ensure client service excellence through an integrated approach
    • Develop trust worthiness with the client and team members
    • Manages progression of quality deliverable on time, in scope and within budget and/or realization goal


Must be motivated, have the ability to multi-task and be organized. Maintain a positive attitude; be cooperative and flexible about the type of work assigned and in assisting other team members on assignments. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting (MST/MBA is a plus)
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong technical skills in taxation
  • 4 plus years of work experience

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of MS office, and other accounting and tax software programs.
  • Assist with estate tax examinations
  • Enhance knowledge of income tax returns
