Senior Tax Accountant

We have a client headquartered in Richmond, VA looking to hire a Senior Tax Accountant. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for tax compliance reporting regarding GAAP and SOX along with ensuring the companies financials accurately reflect the current tax impact. The ideal candidate for this role will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting and prior tax experience in public or corporate accounting.

• Prepare or review quarterly and annual tax provision, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX
• Identify process improvement opportunities within the tax provision process and implement those improvements
• Provide expertise for all tax provision technologies, ensuring software accurately calculates tax provisions
• Assist with day to day guidance, mentoring and technical expertise company tax team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong understanding of GAAP reporting
• CPA a plus

• 2+ years of experience
• Prior use of ERP systems and Tax Software required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or Post-Bacc in accounting)
• Strong understanding of GAAP reporting

• 3+ years of experience
• Prior use of ERP systems and Tax Software required
