Job Description

Experience with Infrastructure (network/security) and software development projects

General Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Effectively apply our project methodology (AKA "Project Pathway") and enforce PMO standards.
  • Manage day-to-day aspects of a project; including planning objectives, scope, risks, task monitoring, status updates, etc.
  • Ensure project artifacts are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Track and report project status, team hours (when relevant) and project expenses on a weekly basis.
  • Hold regular status meetings with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively via tools such as agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized project presentations as needed.
  • Able to communicate difficult/sensitive information appropriately.
  • Manage stakeholder interaction as it relates to projects with poise.
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information with appropriate urgency to sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with business clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate assignment of project team members with resource managers.
  • Manage day to day assignments of project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Capable of team motivation to work together in the most efficient manner.
  • Mitigate team conflict and communication problems.
  • Effectively utilize each team member to his/her fullest potential.

Qualifications and experience

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management working on technical projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience coordinating and/supporting IT business processes.
  • Possesses general understanding in various areas of technology such as networking, data center, application programming, database and system design.
  • Scheduling and budgeting experience preferred.
  • General understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures preferred.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of Waterfall and Agile software methodologies.
  • Demonstrated awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements.
  • Proficient in planning software, Visio, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with Workfront is a plus.
  • Experience working with international teams a plus.
  • Strong business acumen required.

Location and Reporting

  • This is a Technology Project Management role based in Tampa, with potential for international travel
