Technical:

  • Minimum of 1 + years' experience performing help desk and desktop support related functions in a corporate/ business environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 7 & 10 Pro, Mac OS 10.X/iOS and MS Office 2003 -2016 Suites.
  • Intermediate understanding of Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 platforms.
  • Very functional understanding of network topology and network related technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, virtual machines and access points etc.)
  • Experience troubleshooting a wide variety of systems and applications.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree desired, preferably in a related field, however on the job experience will be considered along with certifications.
  • Relevant certifications are a strong plus (Network+ Security+, CCNA, MCTS, MCITP or, MCSA). At least one of these certifications is required.
  • Fundamental knowledge of WatchGuard Hardware technologies and Muratec printing devices is highly desirable

Essential Duties:

The Technical Support Specialist will report to the Network Administrator and be part of a team of associates responsible for supporting local and remote networks comprised of company workstations, laptops, mobile and peripheral devices. Duties include, but are not limited to help desk support through the company portal, phone support, hardware/software configuration, reimaging of company computers, network device/printer support, proactive monitoring of systems in real time and remote control application distribution/administration. The applicant employed in this position will be required to be on-call and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
