The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible, through direct interaction with end-users and management, for providing effective and efficient on-site and remote support to end-users and management on a variety of technical support issues, including the setup and maintenance of mobile devices, computing equipment, printers, faxes, scanners & other peripherals. The role holder is required to perform routine maintenance functions such as hardware & software inventory management. Working with the Global Service Desk and related support functions, the role holder will ensure the provision of a consistently high-quality service to customers and stakeholders. Periodic travel may be required to support additional locations, and if so, the role holder must be capable of traveling without restriction.

Maintains and supports the computer systems of the individual communities, including repair and maintenance of existing equipment.

  • Provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting of hardware and software problems for desktop and laptop computers and remote end-users.
  • Install hardware and software on client-owned hardware and for remote users.
  • Setup and maintain network and telecommunications systems for team members.
  • Reimage computers, perform data migrations and restorations, and conduct remote problem-solving.
  • Train and orient team members on the use of hardware along with basic and advanced use of software programs.
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory.
  • Provide technical assistance for all printers and scanners.
  • Provide technical assistance to users for network, VPN, web-based applications, and wireless issues
  • Provide technical assistance for mobile applications and devices.
  • Escalate incidents to IT Network Administrators or Application Developers when appropriate.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
