Responsible for delivering optimal user experiences (UX) in website and email design while implementing effective functionality/navigation, based on industry best practices and consumer insights.

Job Functions

Key responsibilities which take no less than 10% of overall job time

  • Knowledgeable of today's changing digital media landscape and versed in building/delivering responsive and adaptive experiences in increasingly digital/mobile world.
  • Provides consultation and/or hands-on development and content management for a growing list of web properties and marketing landing pages
  • Ability to understand and learn proprietary CMS platforms with working knowledge of Adobe Experience Marketing (AEM _the CMS component of the Adobe Suite) is highly desirable.
  • Design and code against digital advertising needs such as banners, imagery, icons, audio/video enhancements and other digital entities.
  • Design and code email marketing campaigns for both B2C and B2B needs. Knowledge of and experience with usability and variable content applications as they apply to personalization, results analyses and related best practices are a plus.
  • Takes direction from creative director, plus work collaboratively with team of writers, designers, project managers and internal clients to deliver integrated web-based and non-web-based marketing materials and even conceptual campaigns for B2C, B2B & B2B2C marketing.
  • Elevates the brand and champions quality of work-also able to turn around high volume of work when needed while keeping accurate and up-to-date progress records within our project management software.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to manage own time, personal workload, and priorities to deliver quality work on schedule.
  • Able to assign an accurate level-of-effort on any given task and responsible for raising early flags (to creative director) before his/her workload affects quality.
  • Document pertinent web processes including log-in and accessibility requirements; organize all digital assets and materials according to compliance regulations.
  • Desire and ability to work within both agile and production hybrid environment.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in web design and coding.
  • Bachelors in web/graphic design, interactive media, or related field; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, general front-end web design / programming, image editing, and digital design. Experience in or working knowledge of JavaScript, Wordpress, and/or Sketch is a plus.
  • Proficiency in creating responsive/adaptive web and email design for multiscreen experiences.
  • Expected to present design concepts and deliverables to internal clients/executives.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop & Dreamweaver); specific skills should cover web graphic design, design planning, user interface design (UI), web programming skills, cross-browser compatibility, and User Centered Design (UCD).
  • Knowledge and utilization of general office software, email marketing and web-based project/task assignment software (Microsoft Office Suite, Workfront, Silverpop, or similar email marketing software).
