As an Underground Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing wiring, conduits, fixtures and other electrical devices and systems in a WIFI infrastructure.

Underground Electrical Technician responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and performing all electrical repairs as required on underground and surface equipment, as well as stationary equipment
  • Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on all systems
  • Providing input on the design and installation of new equipment and/or system modifications
  • Available within a reasonable response time for emergency call-ins and is available for off-hour contact by phone for contingency situations
  • Ensuring that all contractors follow the established safety rules and regulations when working on site

Job Requirements

In addition to your electrical experience, you will need strong mathematical abilities and good communication skills to succeed in this role. Underground Electrical Technician requirements: • High School degree or equivalent • A thorough and demonstrated understanding of electrical and mechanical systems • Advanced math skills, spatial relationship abilities, and the ability to understand “abstract” principles behind math and physics • Ability to comprehend and apply technical information, including mechanical and electrical drawings (such as blueprints, single- line diagrams and schematics) to problem-solving situations and troubleshooting • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and weeks that can exceed 40 hours depending on the existing work load and customer requirements • Possession of a valid state driver’s license
