Project Overview:


The People & Sharing team's mission is to help users discover and connect with the people they care about at the right time, everywhere. How might we help users to manage their personal information across the Client Space with transparency and control? How might we help users better represent themselves on our Client's products and make their experience more personal and engaging? How might we help enterprise users find and connect with people in their organization?


As a UX designer on the People & Sharing UX team, you will join a group of diverse, passionate, talented individuals to design, iterate and release a number of features and experiences across multiple product surfaces. You'll work closely with a team of UX, PM and Engineering partners on challenging problems, and have an opportunity to collaborate with partners across our Client.


The User & PDPO UX team consists of Identity & Compliance, Counter-Abuse Technology, People & Sharing, and Privacy & Data Protection Office. We want to enable a full and true representation of a person across our products in order to deliver advanced personalization and end-to-end actions on our Client.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Create and define user flows for new features and functionality
  • Design high-level wireframes and detailed mocks, following a user-centered process
  • Collaborate closely with Eng and PM partners on evolving and improving the user experience
  • Apply the Client's design guidelines to product and feature designs to meet user needs, and develop corresponding design specs
  • Collaborate with framework team (design, prototype and research) to assess, explore and evolve detailed design patterns and components across multiple products
  • Design wireframes, detailed mocks, and clickable prototypes for rapid iteration and user research
  • Partner with UX design, research and writing from concept to completion
  • Communicate ideas and rationale effectively
  • Solicit feedback from peers and stakeholders, iterate designs to meet user needs and product excellence
  • Participate in design sessions and other team-wide collaboration efforts

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Effectively and creatively apply the Client's design guidelines to product and feature designs to meet user needs, and develop corresponding design specs
  • Collaborate with framework team (design, prototype and research) to assess, explore and evolve detailed design patterns and components across multiple products
  • Design wireframes, detailed mocks, and clickable prototypes for rapid iteration and user research

Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc.), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS) or a related field.
  • 4 years' experience as a Designer
  • MUST have experience using SKETCH
  • Portfolio of UX-focused work samples for web and mobile applications
  • Experience shipping products/experiences geared toward general consumer

Nice to have Skills (not required):

  • Experience designing native Android mobile applications
  • Knowledge of material design standards and principles
  • Proficiency with Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other design tools
  • Strong core design skills; ability to establish visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color effectively
