Job Description

Come join the Vaco team! Are you looking for your next opportunity? Our client is looking to bring on a VDI Architect for a 3-month Contract to Hire. This client creates technology solutions for global organizations. This role is targeting 60.00-65.00/hour and 110k-120k. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience working with VMware, Citrix and applicable experience. Certifications are ideal. If you are interested, please apply and we can discuss further!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, implement and configure Enterprise Desktop Virtualization Technologies (VMware View)
  • Develops and implements testing strategies and document results
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned
  • Develop and maintain practice artifacts to include standard methodologies, reference architecture, work instructions, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Experience implementing VDI for greater than 5K daily users
  • Good understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Strong W10 skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline; or equivalent; with minimum 10+ years, related experience
  • Expert level experience architecting, implementing, and supporting highly available enterprise infrastructures
  • Expert level experience in private cloud computing and virtualization using VMware
  • 5+ years of experience with server administration of VMware 5.x/6.x, Windows Server (2008 R2/2012 R2)
  • Technical certifications a plus - VMware VCP, Citrix CCP, Citrix CCE, Microsoft MCSA, Cloud computing
