Vice President Finance

A growing supply chain company headquartered in the Columbus, OH area, has a great opportunity for an experienced Financial leader. This position reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for providing financial analysis, developing and maintaining a documented system of accounting processes, and preparing accurate and timely financial reports. As the VP of Finance, you will be a key member of the Executive Team who ensures we are able to sustainably support our mission while leading a team of 10 associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare periodic financial statements
  • Prepare regular financial management reports for internal and external use
  • Support managers in understanding the financial performance of their department
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close
  • Monitor and maintain accounting control procedures
  • Monitor and support sales and use taxation issues
  • Support the annual budgeting process
  • Support the annual Financial Audit
  • Support periodic Bank Exams and Inventory Audits
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted procedures and practices

The successful VP of Finance candidate will:

Qualifications

  • Ten+ years of progressively successful managerial experience leading accounting and finance functions
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field; MBA or other certifications a plus
  • Knowledge of state and federal tax laws
  • Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Computer skills adequate to develop a strong working knowledge of the company ERP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
