Job Description

Vaco is looking for a VP of Product to oversee and lead the design of client platforms and products. The VP of Product will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering, documenting and prioritizing product and customer requirements, working with the product management team to define the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and operations to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Job responsibilities will also include ensuring that the product supports and aligns with the company's overall strategy and goals. The VP of Product Management will define the product from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience, contact with customers and prospects and input from the company's management team and business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other leadership team members to define and drive the product strategy and vision
  • Define and document the product strategy and update and maintain the product roadmap
  • Help drive production product direction and determine development priorities
  • Work across all departments including customer experience, sales, and engineering, to develop best in class products
  • Manage, build, and oversee the product team consisting of product managers and designers
  • Manage and own final review of all product design
  • Drive product life cycle from strategic planning, project management/development and related tactical activities
  • Gather and refine research from sources including stakeholders, competitors, and customers
  • Establish and monitor product usage metrics to inform product decisions

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management leadership experience in planning, launching, supporting multi-release, complex software products
  • Experience defining technical product features from inception to execution
  • Success leading people across multiple cross functional areas
  • Experience guiding a product team and working with engineers to rapidly release and iterate
  • Experience in user interviews, testing, and other forms of direct user experience research
  • Ability to communicate and translate items clearly with the various business units
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills
