Job Description

Vaco is looking for a Web Application Engineer for our client in Tampa.

The web application developer is a full-stack developer with emphasis on frontend design and user experience but also responsible for backend processing. This position requires the research and development of projects using emerging technologies and best practices; and supports an effective and efficient system for developing and managing the Company's internal and customer facing web application products.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience building single page applications (SPA) in Angular.
  • Experience using web-based tools, technologies, practices and web authoring software, HTML, and CSS to create web templates and style sheets, web applications, and web features.
  • Visual design skills to support web application functionality such as complex web forms, dynamic and interactive web applications.
  • Develops concepts, wireframes, prototypes, scenarios, and storyboards for interactive/screen-based experiences based on organizational goals and audience insights. Designs, codes, develops, maintains, and supports web applications that follow company standards; performs usability evaluations; integrates various functionalities with front end programming (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular) with backend services using REST.
  • Implements concepts to create web and technical design that meet sprint goals, support an effective web system, and engage audiences, while collaborating with IT staff and stakeholders.
  • Plans, implements, and supports new application designs and features working HTML and CSS. Creates, maintains, and continuously improves cohesive web theme(s) and library of page templates, styles, features/widgets/functionalities that meet needs of internal partners and overall web goals; maintains and shares clear documentation.
  • Troubleshoots and fixes browser, coding and other technical problems. Provides oversight for ongoing implementation, maintenance, and management of content management system(s).

Requirements:

  • Expert level experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript
  • Expert level experience with Angular (2+)
  • Experience with Bootstrap 3 (version 4 is a plus)
  • Git, CI/CD, Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins
  • Web application design - ability to design and build web application pages such as forms, data tables, complete with navigation, dynamic features
  • Web analytics experience such as Google Analytics, AppDynamics, etc.
  • Backend experience such as Java, C#, or similar
  • Experience using and building REST API in Java, C#, or similar
  • Database experience with MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, any NoSQL solution, or similar
  • Full Stack - able to design, build and launch application
