I.JOB FUNCTIONS


  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Installs and maintains operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance.
    • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established policies and procedures.
    • Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
    • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
    • Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
    • Develops and promotes standard operating procedures.
    • Evaluates system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
    • Troubleshoots networking and operating systems problems.
    • Help develops backup and recovery strategy.
    • Incorporate Information Security Best Practices in all aspects of Systems Management


  • Other Duties and Responsibilities

    • Mentoring of other Technical Support staff.
    • Training of staff members within and without the Systems Administration Department
    • Works with and understands the roles of members of other departments
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer of system support procedures and nuances
    • Performs other duties as necessary.

    II.QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
    • Knowledge of Veeam backups and recovery or other similar technologies
    • 3 years experience in Windows Server Administration, AD Administration, GPO Administration.


  • Technical Abilities

  • In performing the essential job functions, the employee will be required to have familiarity with the following computer technologies:

    • Knowledge of Windows Servers operating environments, AD, GPO, Print Servers, File Servers as well as exposure to industry products, terminology and trends.
    • Knowledge of VMware 6 environments.
    • Knowledge of Veeam and MS-SQL a plus
