Vaco Staffing has partnered with a global manufacturing/distribution company that is hiring a full time and direct hire Workroom Supervisor. My client offers growth, hands on training, and a new facility with great working conditions.


Workroom Supervisor

General Purpose

The Workroom Supervisor is responsible for maintaining unity among all teams working within the workroom environment and streamlining the daily processes. Giving clear and concise instruction to those team members to ensure orders are processed in an accurate and timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must verify all expected employees are on site, on time and at their workstation ready to work at 7:15am. Report any late or absent employees to Workroom Manager.
  • Ensure all product, materials, tools and instructions are in place for employees to begin work on or before start time.
  • Responsible for properly clocking teams in and out of orders in the system.
  • Preparation for next order of team must be made in advance in order to streamline workflow.
  • Packing errors/questions must be brought to the Workroom Manager's attention immediately so corrections can be made.
  • Must keep accurate running status checks on orders being worked and check for quality.
  • All team job boards should be updated with the appropriate job being worked.
  • Direct workroom driver for next order or product needed and push to get finished product out in a timely manner.
  • Keep track of paperwork for orders and ensure they are recorded properly then delivered to shipping team.
  • Constantly evaluate team members to be sure job is being fulfilled properly and to ensure they are working in a comparable group ie: time studies.
  • Review order recap sheet directly after the order is finished in the system. Sign off and be aware of excessive overages or orders that come in under, generally by 6% or greater.
  • Set up for next day at least 1hr prior to EOD.
  • Responsible for accurate inventory control throughout workroom.
  • Maintain daily inventory write-ups for weekly QC Report and Kit Label production and application for all orders requiring them.
  • Understand, in depth, what the pricer's job is and hold every employee equally accountable.
  • Extra duties/assignments as given by Manager.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for upward to 4 hours continuously
  • Bend, kneel and squat
  • Lift up to 40 lbs
  • Use a box cutter and tape gun in a repetitive motion

Qualification Requirements:

Education and Work Experience

High School diploma required, 2 yr. and/or Bachelor's degree preferred.

5 or more year's production experience desired.
