Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant
Responsibilities:

Accurately process vendor invoices, including coding, data entry, and obtaining necessary approvals.

Ensure invoices match purchase orders and receiving documents; investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Reconcile vendor statements and address any issues in a timely and professional manner.
-
Process payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
-
Maintain and update vendor accounts, including contact details, payment terms, and documentation.

Manage and track Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and W-9 forms to ensure compliance and proper documentation for all vendors.

Prepare and review accounts payable aging reports to support timely payments and effective cash flow management.

Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.

Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoicing issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve billing or payment concerns promptly.
-
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
-
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Manage fixed asset functions, including tracking and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2–3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
-
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
-
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
-
