Tax Manager POST NUMBER: 462026
Location: 2- 3 days onsite NYC
Salary: $140-150k base plus bonus
The U.S. Tax Manager oversees all tax activities for the company’s U.S. entities, serving as a key contact for tax matters and supporting a dynamic finance team. This person manages compliance, reporting, and planning for federal, state, and local taxes, while also providing tax expertise to support smart decision-making across the organization.
About the Role
- Leads day-to-day U.S. tax operations and partners with multiple departments.
- Manages all aspects of federal, state, and local tax filings and compliance.
- Supports tax reporting for foreign-affiliated entities and associated calculations.
- Oversees quarterly and annual tax provisions (ASC 740), including deferred and current tax calculations.
- Maintains accurate state and local tax nexus and taxability data.
- Develops and implements tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Monitors changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Ensures transfer pricing requirements are met, working with both internal teams and external advisors.
- Provides tax planning for new business initiatives, acquisitions, and restructuring.
- Coordinates with tax authorities for audits and inquiries.
- Prepares required U.S. tax forms and collaborates with outside advisors as needed.
- Prepares cash tax forecasts and payment schedules for U.S. entities.
- Supports financial audits by preparing tax documents and schedules.
- CPA designation or Master's degree in Taxation.
- Minimum of six years of relevant tax experience, ideally in public accounting or a large corporation.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
- Advanced skills in tax compliance, reporting, and advisory services.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communicator and collaborative team member.
