Role: Bookkeeper
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000/annually Benefits
Location: Manhattan, New York (***Hybrid, 1-2 days a week in office***)
Job Description:

Financial Management & Accounting Operations
-
Directed all day-to-day financial operations, including verifying daily balances, deposits, and withdrawals.

Managed the end-to-end accounting cycle, encompassing bank and credit card statement reconciliation within QuickBooks.

Processed bi-weekly payroll, partner draws, and managed 401k payments.

Oversaw regulatory and compliance documentation, including reviewing renewal packages for professional liability, health, and workers' compensation insurance.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Generated comprehensive weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for partners, focusing on Design and Procurement business units.

Attended and presented findings at weekly financial meetings to review performance.

Provided strategic input and recommendations to executive leadership to optimize financial practices and drive revenue growth.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

Liaised directly with the external Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for specialized financial guidance and reporting.

Generated year-end reports and managed the accurate and timely processing of all corporate and owner tax payments.

Processed and paid monthly sales tax obligations for operations in New York and Florida.

Business Unit Support & Billing

Design Business: Managed the entire Accounts Receivable process, including generating monthly billing, recording payments, handling physical check deposits, and executing collection activities.

Procurement Business: Collaborated closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure data integrity in QuickBooks, review payment requests, and process payments for inventory and services.
