We are recruiting a Senior Accountant for a company in the Raleigh area, this is a newly created position driven by sustained growth. This team is looking for someone who can handle day to day accounting responsibilities while also being involved in ad-hoc projects and initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Drive month-end close activities: prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and post cash activity to the general ledger.
Manage fixed assets, including tracking acquisitions/disposals, calculating depreciation, and maintaining asset records.
Record new debt and lease obligations and support ongoing adjustments and reconciliations.
Support external audits through detailed schedules and responsive communication.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting efforts and collaborate on internal reporting packages.
Analyze financial performance to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational improvement.
Serve as a financial liaison across departments, providing timely and accurate information to internal stakeholders.
Take ownership of special projects and support leadership with financial analysis and insights.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related, CPA is preferred.
3 years of accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting or private industry exposure.
Solid foundation in GAAP and month-end close procedures.
