Calling all seasoned finance leaders in New York City! We are hiring a high-impact Senior Revenue Accounting Manager to own our revenue cycle and strategic financial reporting.
If you have 7-10 years of experience in revenue accounting (ideally in asset management) and are ready to step into a leadership role, this is your opportunity.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will be the pillar of our revenue and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Own the Revenue Cycle: Manage and oversee daily operations for revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and cash application, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
- Strategic Reporting: Develop and present insightful management reports, including variance analysis and commentary on financial performance, specifically around AUM and revenue.
- Month-End Master: Supervise and execute month-end closing processes, including managing intercompany eliminations and reconciling key balance sheet accounts.
- Compliance & Audit: Lead efforts in the development of core financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and serve as a key liaison for external auditors.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with business departments to align financial reporting with strategic objectives.
Who You Are:
You are a seasoned accounting professional ready to take the next step in a leadership-focused role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 7-10 years in revenue accounting, ideally within the investment or financial services sector.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of GAAP, month-end closing, and accrual-based accounting.
- Systems Proficiency: Highly proficient in ERP systems (familiarity with NetSuite is a plus) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills—you can simplify complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders
