Vaco is hiring for a Dire Hire Senior Accountant for a growing accounting team located in Kent OH. This role will be fully on-site.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's financial accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Handle financial reporting tasks, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and overseeing collections.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to assess the company's financial performance and identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to support business objectives and drive financial success.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in mental healthcare finance to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional growth and development.
Qualified Accountant candidates will have:
- CMA or MBA
- Experience with Financial Planning and Analysis
- Five years or more of experience in the finance & accounting field
- Demonstrated proficiency with applications involving business intelligence, accounting, financial reporting, and consolidations
- Superb aptitude and proficiency with technology and business processes
- Prefer hands on experience in accounting of non-profit/healthcare organizations and start up organizations
