About the Opportunity
- Lead the planning, execution, and reporting of internal audits, ensuring full alignment with IA Standards and the Internal Audit methodology.
- Support enterprise risk assessments by identifying key risks across business processes and evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
- Independently perform a range of audit and SOX testing based on risk assessments, with a focus on control design, operating effectiveness, and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct interviews, review documentation, and analyze data to gather evidence, test controls, and assess the impact of improvement opportunities.
- Maintain and update Internal Audit and SOX risk assessments for assigned processes, evaluating control design and recommending enhancements.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Internal Audit, and process owners to resolve issues and develop practical, effective remediation strategies.
- Ensure timely remediation of deficiencies and prepare follow?up testing results and SOX deficiency reports for Executives and Management.
- Use data analytics and audit tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, TeamMate) to expand audit coverage
- Prepare clear, organized, and well?supported working papers that substantiate audit conclusions and recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of high?quality audit reports, executive presentations, and other communications for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Present audit observations clearly and concisely, participating constructively in discussions with management regarding findings and remediation plans.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- 2 years of internal audit, external audit, or relevant risk/control/compliance experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience preparing professional deliverables for senior audiences.
- Familiarity with audit analytics tools (e.g. Power BI) and audit management systems (e.g., TeamMate) is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk, identify control gaps, and develop practical recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues.
- Highly adaptable and team-oriented, approaching audits with respect to build trust and maintain open communication.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high standard of quality.
Salary Range
$72,000 - $92,000 / year
