Role: Legal Assistant (Temporary)
Pay Rate: $30–$35 per hour

Job Description:
A well-known law firm in San Francisco is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Temporary Legal Assistant to support attorneys and legal staff during a busy period. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and can quickly adapt to established processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals.

Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.

File documents electronically (state and federal e-filing experience preferred).

Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court dates.

Maintain and organize case files (electronic and physical).
-
Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as needed.

Assist with trial preparation, document production, and discovery.

Track deadlines and ensure timely filings.
Qualifications:
-
2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably within a law firm setting.

Strong knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.

Experience with e-filing in California courts preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal case management software is a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
