Job Summary
This professional will be a senior member of our client’s Reporting & Analytics Team. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, this role sits at the intersection of data, portfolio analytics, and client reporting helping lead and manage the day-to-day work of the team to create and review a variety of performance analytics and to produce a high-volume of reporting crucial for other clients and Investment Team.
Our client manages a global multi-asset portfolio and this person will (i) help lead and manage others and individually contribute to the creation and review of performance analytics in a variety of reports delivered to clients regularly, (ii) support ongoing work on portfolio analytics for internal use and for client reporting, (iii) work with various datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability of analysis prepared by the team, and (iv) collaborate with internal teams on new analytics. This person will be required to partner closely with internal stakeholders across other teams to project manage and deliver a high volume of reporting, analytics, and insights for non-technical audiences.
The ideal candidate should possess a natural curiosity, a strong affinity for quantitative work, and a passion for managing and collaborating as a team to deliver a high volume of reporting. This individual will also demonstrate a strong work ethic, be detail oriented, be willing to develop and improve quantitative abilities, and have a strong interest in financial markets.
The position is based in-office with a remote option on Fridays.

Essential Functions
Lead and manage performance reporting workflows
• Lead many of the Reporting & Analytics team’s performance reporting workflows to ensure accurate reporting for a high volume of standard and one-off client reports and materials as well as internal reports and analyses
• Oversee the timely delivery of recurring reports, including monthly and quarterly performance reports, exposure and liquidity reporting, and other portfolio analytics outputs across multiple clients
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and other teams to align timelines, expectations, and data needs
• Ensure an organized, transparent, and documented set of workflows, so the team can manage competing priorities effectively
Hands-on portfolio and performance analytics
• Use Python and other tools (e.g., Excel) to manipulate data, build repeatable analyses, and support deeper portfolio insights
• Apply sound performance and portfolio concepts (e.g., IRR vs TWR, asset class–specific metrics) to support both client and internal reporting
• Contribute to ongoing development of analytics (e.g., risk/return summaries, exposures, attribution-style views, factor or other public markets analytics)
• Contribute to a culture of high data quality, strong process execution, and careful review across all reporting outputs
Team development
• Provide day-to-day management and supervision of junior team members
• Help train colleagues on tools, methods, and best practices
• Model a professional, detail-oriented approach and a constructive, collaborative attitude
• Serve as a strong collaborator and resource to other teams across the firm
Cross-functional collaboration with other internal teams
• Work with other teams to clarify the core questions behind a request and focus analysis on what truly matters
• Translate investment questions into structured analytic steps and communicate results clearly and on time, including key assumptions and caveats
• Participate in ad hoc quantitative analyses across asset classes, strategies, and managers, as needed
Support internal projects and process improvements
• Lead or co-lead internal projects within the Reporting & Analytics team, from scoping through execution and delivery
• Do hands-on work alongside junior team members, using projects as an opportunity to teach and build skills to train and develop others
• Identify areas where processes or tools can be improved for accuracy and efficiency; take initiative to propose and implement better approaches
• Ensure good practices around documentation, consistency, and quality control
Responsibilities and title will ultimately be commensurate with the professional’s experience and demonstrated faculties and judgment.
Education, Experience & Skills
• Generally, 8-12 years relevant experience in investment performance reporting, portfolio analytics, data analytics, or a closely related field required
• Bachelor’s degree with proven academic achievement required; focused degree in math, science, computer science, economics or finance preferred
• Prior people-management and team leadership experience required
• Strong project management and organizational skills to create and oversee schedules for timely and accurate delivery of reports and analysis
• Knowledge of alternative investment industry strategies, products, analytics, metrics, and portfolio analysis
• Ability to communicate (in written form) insights and takeaways from investment performance results
• Strong attention to detail in quantitative and financial analysis with a process-orientation towards checks and controls
• Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of professionalism
• Experience collaborating successfully in a multi-disciplinary, diverse and dynamic team, particularly with investment and client relations professionals, a plus
• Experience at an OCIO, asset manager, institutional allocator, or multi-family office, a plus
• Progress toward professional designation (e.g., CFA, FRM, CIPM) or relevant graduate coursework, a plus
Technical & Analytical Skills
Required:
• Strong working knowledge of Python or similar language for data analysis (this is not a software engineering level ask – The client has a dedicated software engineering group in-house to assist)
• Comfortable manipulating datasets (e.g., with pandas or similar), writing functions, and troubleshooting self-produced code
• Able to produce clear, organized scripts and basic reusable components
• Solid understanding of investment performance basics
• Familiar with how different asset classes are typically measured and evaluated
Other Additive Skills:
• Knowledge of Addepar
• Power user of Excel; familiarity with SQL
• Strong grasp of practical statistics and regression concepts (e.g., OLS, multivariate regression) and their application to portfolio data
• Familiarity with Git or other version control tools in a team setting
• Exposure to additional analytical languages or tools (e.g., Julia, R, or BI/visualization platforms)
