Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday | 100% Onsite
Pay: Approximately $20/hour
About the Opportunity
Vaco has a great opportunity for a temporary HR Clerk in Jacksonville, Florida. This role will provide hands-on recruiting, onboarding, and HR administrative support during an organizational transition.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early-career HR or recruiting experience who enjoys interacting with candidates, coordinating hiring activities, and supporting the employee onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Hiring Support
- Support recruiting efforts for a variety of positions
- Conduct initial candidate phone screens using structured interview questions
- Evaluate candidates and document interview notes for hiring managers
- Coordinate interviews and other hiring activities
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruiting process
Onboarding & HR Administration
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation
- Complete and maintain employment and onboarding documentation
- Process and verify I-9 documentation
- Coordinate background checks and other pre-employment requirements
- Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of HR, recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR administrative experience
- Comfortable conducting phone interviews and speaking with candidates throughout the day
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
- New hire onboarding and employment documentation
- Maintaining employee and personnel records
- High-volume recruiting or candidate screening
Schedule & Additional Details
- Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Typical hours between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility
- 100% onsite in Jacksonville
- Complimentary lunch provided each workday
- Expected contract duration of 90–180 days
- A permanent position is not anticipated, although future opportunities could potentially arise based on organizational needs
