Customer Service Representative
Location: Jacksonville, FL

Schedule: Fully onsite during training; hybrid thereafter
About the Opportunity
Vaco has a great opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in Jacksonville, Florida. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers throughout their service experience, providing timely updates, coordinating schedules and logistics, resolving issues, and ensuring an excellent overall customer experience.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who enjoys helping customers and can successfully manage high volumes of calls, emails, follow-ups, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Communication
- Serve as the primary customer contact from initial scheduling through service completion
- Provide proactive updates regarding timelines, processes, and expectations
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and text
- Build positive customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up
- Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions
Scheduling & Coordination
- Coordinate appointments, scheduling changes, and service requests
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely service
- Monitor active accounts and provide status and timeline updates
- Coordinate delivery and scheduling information with operational teams
Problem Resolution
- Investigate service delays, disruptions, and customer concerns
- Work with internal teams to identify solutions
- Escalate unresolved issues when necessary
- Assist with service recovery, claims, and customer retention efforts
Administrative Support
- Manage a high volume of incoming and outgoing communications
- Maintain accurate customer information within company systems
- Monitor reports, dashboards, and activity queues for priority items
- Track open issues through resolution
- Assist with special projects and process improvements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience in a professional environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional phone presence and customer-focused approach
- Strong organization, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook
- Comfortable learning and working across multiple software systems
Preferred Experience
- Associate's or bachelor's degree
- Experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, supply chain, dispatch, scheduling, hospitality, or similar environments
- Experience handling a high volume of customer calls and communications
