Operational Receiving Analyst
Location: Jacksonville, FL – Southside
Pay: $20/hour
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
About the Opportunity
Vaco is hiring an Operational Receiving Analyst for a large organization in Jacksonville. This is a hands-on analytical role focused on evaluating product samples, documenting specifications, identifying discrepancies, and preparing accurate reports.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with measurements and product specifications, and enjoys a combination of hands-on work, analysis, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, inspect, and evaluate product samples using established procedures
- Utilize measuring devices and light lab equipment to analyze samples
- Record product specifications and evaluation results accurately
- Identify and document discrepancies, damaged samples, or unusual specifications
- Communicate with manufacturers and distributors to obtain or clarify product information
- Prepare customer reports detailing findings and analysis
- Properly file, organize, and store product samples
- Assist with sample storage and disaster recovery procedures
- Provide support to other departments as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Experience with flooring, roofing, siding, building materials, construction products, or similar products is a plus
- Comfortable using measuring devices and light lab equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is hands-on, analytical, and highly detail-oriented. This could be a great fit for someone with experience in quality inspection, receiving, product testing, building materials, construction products, warehouse quality, or technical product support who enjoys investigating discrepancies and working with detailed product specifications.
