Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in office / 2 days remote (Fridays rotate)
Pay: $24–$27/hour
Type: Contract (through Oct/Nov) with potential to convert permanent
Overview:
Seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a small AR team supporting payment processing, reconciliations, and customer/branch inquiries. This role is open due to a long-tenured employee retiring and the team would like someone to start quickly to allow for training and knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities:

Process and reconcile payments received via mail, lockbox, credit card, and ACH

Handle billing inquiries from branches, corporate teams, and customers

Review contracts for commission payouts and approvals

Process credit memos and assist with unapplied cash research

Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate AR records

Support general office duties including document scanning and printing

Assist with additional projects as assigned by the AR Manager
Qualifications:

Experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or general accounting

Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

Ability to work independently and collaborate within a small team environment
Additional Details:

40-hour work week, typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with flexibility
