Interim Director of FP&A POST NUMBER: 472816
Our client, a growth-stage technology company, is seeking an Interim Director of FP&A to provide leadership and execution support during a period of transition within the finance organization.
This position is fully remote and expected to last approximately 2–3 months, with potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
- Provide interim leadership across financial planning and analysis activities
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles in partnership with business stakeholders
- Perform variance analysis and prepare financial insights to support decision-making
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to support department-level planning
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to track spend and performance trends
- Ensure continuity and stability in financial reporting during a transition period
- Support collaboration and knowledge transfer within the finance organization
- Assist with improving planning processes and documentation where needed
Requirements:
- 8 years of progressive FP&A experience, including leadership at the manager or director level
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in a dynamic environment
- Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel capabilities
- Background partnering with multiple departments in a cross-functional setting
- Ability to operate independently and drive outcomes in a lean, fast-paced organization
