Desktop Support / IT Support Technician (Onsite – Contract-to-Hire)

Pay: $28–$29/hour (W2)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours

We’re looking for an IT Support / Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on, onsite support for staff in a clinical and office environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being visible, fixing issues in real time, and helping users get back to work quickly.
This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role with a strong chance of conversion for someone who shows up, communicates well, and takes ownership of issues.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be the person staff rely on when something isn’t working. That includes troubleshooting laptops, desktops, printers, and common software issues, as well as helping with basic networking and connectivity problems. You’ll support Windows workstations, assist with equipment setup and deployment, and help during onboarding and go-live periods.
You’ll also handle practical, hands-on tasks like staging equipment, validating connections, checking Wi-Fi coverage, and keeping track of IT assets. There’s collaboration with service desk teams, engineers, and trainers, but this is very much an onsite, boots-on-the-ground support role — not a call center position.
We’re looking for someone with 2–5 years of experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, or Help Desk roles, who has solid troubleshooting skills and a strong customer-service mindset. You should be comfortable working with computer hardware, Windows OS, printers, and peripherals. Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, switches, cabling concepts) is helpful — deep networking expertise isn’t required.
Experience using IT ticketing systems is expected, along with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Comfort working fully onsite and moving around as needed during the workday is important.
