Construction Superintendent POST NUMBER: 473195
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role serves as the primary on-site leader and liaison between subcontractors, project managers, inspectors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site operations for commercial and/or residential construction projects
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Ensure projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and timelines
- Maintain strict adherence to safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and workmanship standards
- Manage project schedules and proactively address delays or issues
- Order materials and coordinate deliveries to maintain workflow
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documents
- Communicate project updates to Project Managers and key stakeholders
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation
- Facilitate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in construction supervision or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in construction management software is preferred
- OSHA certification preferred
